Welcome to Youth Emergency Services

Youth Emergency Services (YES) has been providing accommodation and support services to young people who are homeless or who are at risk of homelessness since 1978. YES believes as an organisation in the individual capacity of all young people to realise their goals and aspirations given appropriate supports, information and resources.

In responding to young people we believe that they require access to a broad range of personal, social, intellectual, economic and spiritual resources for personal and community well being.

YES as an organisation serves the community by working with young people in a way that is affirming, by creating opportunities that enhance the quality of young peoples lives and their connection to the community and is focused on developing personal wellbeing and life skills that maximises their self esteem and independence.

YES has one mission: to work in collaboration with young people to assist them find their path in life.

YES would like to acknowledge Daniel Worth for the three characters used throughout the website. The characters come from a mural that Daniel painted through the main hallway at Windsor House on 16/11/2005, YES would like to thank Daniel for bringing a sense of fun and excitement to the young people’s space.
